The Weekly Round-Up!

This week your local officers have been out and about in the community speaking with residents and getting vital information on the things that matter most to you.

We've continued our hotspot patrols in the areas that you have told us are causing concern. These patrols give us the chance to stay visible, chat with local people, and gather information that helps us tackle crime and anti-social behaviour where it matters most. 

We're also working closely with our partners at the Royal Borough of Greenwich to address concerns around nuisance neighbours and behaviour that can have a real impact on residents' day-to-day lives. By working together, we can make sure the right support and action are taken to help keep our neighbourhood a more pleasant places to live.

Another ongoing priority is tackling those involved in the supply of illegal drugs. Drug dealing can bring a range of problems into a community, from anti-social behaviour and violence to the exploitation of vulnerable people. By focusing our efforts on those involved, we can help make our streets safer and more welcoming for everyone.

We'd like to encourage everyone to keep sharing information and reporting any concerns they may have. If you don't see immediate action being taken, please don't assume that nothing is happening. Often, there is a great deal of work taking place behind the scenes that we can't always share publicly.

It's also important to remember that our ability to take action depends on the information we receive. Sometimes people assume that someone else will have reported an issue, when in reality everyone is thinking the same thing, and as a result, it never gets reported at all. 

Help us build the community you want to see by reporting concerns and encouraging others to do the same. If you have neighbours who aren't yet signed up to Met Engage, please let them know about it and encourage them to join. The more people who are connected and sharing information, the stronger our community becomes.

If there is anything you wish to tell us, or how best you would like to communicate with us, we would really value your input. We are always up for a visit to discuss any crime related issues or concerns you may have, or if you have an idea of another location on the ward you would like a drop in to be held, we will always consider suggestions that help us reach as many people as possible.
